Locator records can be organised in any folders. You are free to structure this for what's most convenient to manage.
We recommend separating tags from records. We recommend the following structure:
Locator story
Records folder
Locator Record stories can be placed directly in this folder, or structured in child-folders based on individual needs and preference.
Tags folder
Tag-category folder
Locator Tag-Group story
Locator Tag stories
...
The Locator will show all Locator Records of the current brand and language.
You can limit the displayed records based on the tagging of records. You can select these under Limit Results By Tags in the Locator story.
→ This allows to maintain all records and tags in a central place and flexibly use them across multiple differently configured Locator stories.
The locator can show a map of physical stores and a list of entities without physical presence.
Both can be enabled within the same locator, which will show them in two separate tabs.
Locator Tag-Groups act as ‘categories’ for filters. Let's say you want to tag records as “Store” or “Service Center”.
Create one Locator Tag-Group named “Type”.
Create Locator Tags for “Store” or “Service Center” and under ‘Category’ select “Type”.
After having prepared Tag-Groups and you have tagged the records, you can configure Filters on the Locator story. Any Tag-Group can get selected as filter. You can choose between single-select or multiple choice.
On each Tag-Group or Tag you can define Conditions. If a condition is defined, then the filter will only get displayed if any of the defined tags under Condition have been selected by the user
Markers can get coloured based on their tags.
On the Locator under Marker Colours select the Locator Tags, which should determine the colouring of each record.
On the respective tags either define a Brand or a Colour. If a brand is selected, then the marker will be shown in the respective brand colour, otherwise in the defined colour.
